South Carolina lowcountry deer season starts August 15th

Our South Carolina deer season starts on August 15 2025 here in the lowcountry, and we are doing all the work necessary for another awesome season right now such as adding new stands and repairing older ones as well as finding anything we can find to upgrade inside and out here at the lodge.

Last year we had a fantastic season despite the heat and drought South Carolina has been battling, as well as a giant crop of acorns during the Fall. This made the hunting much tougher than it would have been if it had been wet and cold with little natural food to help make the deer move to our feeders full of corn. However we just hunted harder and keyed in on our best crossings to find bucks cruising from one doe bedding are to another instead, and that led to lots of hunters seeing and shooting nice bucks and some fat does.
